All payments are processed in British Pounds Sterling (£). We do not accept cash, cheques, or bank transfers directly.

3. When Payment is Taken
- Full Immediate Payment: Payment for your order is authorised and captured in full at the point of purchase. Your card or account will be charged as soon as you complete the checkout process.
- Pre-authorisation: When you place an order, your payment provider may place a temporary “hold” or pre-authorisation on the funds. This is not a charge but a reservation to ensure funds are available. This hold typically falls away within 3-5 business days if the order is cancelled before dispatch.
4. Pricing & Currency
- VAT Inclusive: All prices shown on our website are inclusive of UK VAT (Value Added Tax) at the prevailing rate.
- Shipping Costs: Delivery charges are calculated at checkout and added to your total before payment.
- International Customers: If you are purchasing from outside the UK, your bank or card issuer will apply the exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee. The final amount in your local currency is determined by them, not Choco World.
5. Failed & Declined Payments
If your payment fails or is declined:
- You will see an error message at checkout.
- Your order will not be placed or processed.
- Please check:
- Your card details are entered correctly.
- The card has not expired.
- You have sufficient funds or credit available.
- Your bank has not blocked the transaction (contact them if unsure).
- You may try again with the same or a different payment method.
6. Refunds
- Process: All refunds are processed in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy. Once we authorise a refund, we will initiate it to your original payment method.
- Timeline: Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to be processed from our side. It can then take an additional 3-10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer’s policies.
- Amount: You will be refunded the price of the returned item(s). Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a faulty product.
7. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
We aim to resolve any issues before they escalate. If you have a problem with your order or a charge, please contact us directly at info@chocolatesworld.shop before contacting your bank to file a chargeback.
A chargeback initiated without first attempting to resolve the issue with us may result in your account being suspended, and we reserve the right to provide evidence of your order and our policies to the relevant bank.
